The Phoenix Just Giving "Finish the Season" Campaign

As many of you are aware Nicola Matthews launched a Just Giving campaign with the hope of raising £1000 to help the Phoenix finish the season. With your generosity and a massive effort from the Baldwin family and hockey fans throughout the UK this target was smashed. It eventually reached over £5000! Unfortunately it became clear on the 15th of January that it would be impossible to carry on without a much larger injection of funds. The Supporters' Club was asked to fund the games for the next two weeks whilst a solution to the financial shortfall was sought. Funds were made available by a third party to enable the SC to fund these games on the understanding that these funds would be repaid from the Just Giving campaign. As a result £3000 will be returned to the third party as soon as possible. The Supporters' Club also has liabilities to 200 Club prize winners and merchandise suppliers. Any surplus once all liabilities have been cleared will be advised at a future date.

We would like to express our gratitude to Nicola, the Baldwin family and all those who donated. Thank you all.

200 Club Closure

The Manchester Phoenix 200 Club

Since it’s inception in 2011 the 200 Club has proved to be an incredible fund raiser for the Supporters’ Club and subsequently for the hockey team. Whilst the subscriptions were modest, members had the chance to win up to £200 per month in prizes with £100 going to one lucky winner every month. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those that subscribed and made it such a success. Unfortunately with the club no longer competing we have made the inevitable decision to close the 200 Club at the end of February once the February draw has taken place. We would be grateful if all members would cancel their standing orders once February has passed. Should the hockey club re-form in the future we will of course reinstate the 200 Club subject to demand. Once again we would like to thank all those who helped make it such a success.
